Blurry Image?

As a beginner of Photographer, there are many image that you captured being blurry. Whether it is because something was moving fast or because of camera/hand shaking, a blurry picture is pretty useless.

So, don't worry! Photoshop will be a good helper to make the blurry image sharp.

There are going to be 2 method to solve this problem.

At first, open the blurry image that you chose to edit.

Image Selected

Duplicate the background layer.

Duplicate the Layer with Right click the layer and click 'Duplicate Layer...'
**Shortcut: Ctrl + J

Layer is Duplicated

Next go to Filter, then Other and choose High Pass...

High Pass

The higher the value you set it to, the sharper your image will become. However, if you set it really high, the image will become grainy.

10 pixels selected

Now click on the layer and set the blending mode to Hard Light/Linear Light/Vivid Light and adjust the Opacity to makes the image look best.

Select Hard Light/Linear Light/Vivid Light in blending mode and play with the opacity to get the best image

Now, here you got the sharp image compare to the blurry image u captured!

Assignment 1 Festival

After brain storming some few days,  I had some idea to my Assignment about Festival.

First idea, I was thinking about QingMing Festival. Is it Special? Ya, I think so!
This is my research about Qingming Festival about picture:

Qing Ming Wallpaper

The view of Tomb

QingMing landscape with the sunset

So, what is QingMing Festival?

The Qingming Festival, Clear Bright Festival, Ancestors Day or Tomb Sweeping Day is a traditional Chinese festival on the 104th day after the winter solstice (or the 15th day from the Spring Equinox), usually occurring around April 5 of the Gregorian calendar. Astronomically it is also a solar term. The Qingming festival falls on the first day of the fifth solar term, named Qingming. Its name denotes a time for people to go outside and enjoy the greenery of springtime and tend to the graves of departed ones.

Qingming has been regularly observed as a statutory public holiday in Taiwan and in the Chinese jurisdictions of Hong Kong and Macau. Its observance was reinstated as a public holiday in mainland China in 2008, after having been previously suppressed by the ruling Communist Party in 1949.

Second, I have another idea on Drum Festival!
Here is some research about Drum Festival: www.malaysiaworlddrums.com

Some background image from World Drum Festival's website

Seoul Drum Festival in Road Show!

This is the poster of Seoul Drum Festival! I like it so much!

It is quite hard to find about the picture, but I like drum since young! I think likely I will go more through about my interests: DRUM

So any suggestion on my 2 Festival? Hope getting advice from the blogger, YOU!

I will decide later that I will go for which festival!
Thank You

We can move the Leaf layer to in front of Layer 1 to do some editing on effects at Leaf.

Drag the Layer 1 down to place below the Leaf layer, so the Leaf layer is overlapping the Layer 1

Other than that, we also can click on the icon of eye to make the layer invisible instead of dragging the layer to overlapping

Next, add some effects with clicking 'Add vector mask'

'Add vector mask' is selected and a box will appear in Leaf Layer

To show some effects, use Gradient at the vector mask that formed by clicking the Gradient icon in toolbox.

**Shortcut: G

After selecting Gradient, click and pull at the image of Leaf. It will appear a line that will be form gradient that you want to.

A line is formed while pull a point to the another point
Set the Gradient you want in the Optional Bar

The Gradient is formed in the vector mask

Next, we want to make a Background layer for the whole image to make it looked better to cover the transparency of the image.

Click 'Create a new layer' icon to make a new layer

With holding Ctrl and clicking the icon of  'Create a new layer', the layer will manually create below the layer u selected.

Rename the Background layer as Background by double clicking name the layer 2.
