Before starting anythings, this is the previous Works that I did

Chinese Art, Background, Drum Team, A Drum and Chinese Word of Drum

So, today I gonna to create the text inside my wallpaper to show that is Drum Festival!

First to do, I found some image that from web pages that support me on the Chinese Word.

Drum in Chinese is done, so now is Festive in Chinese into my Wallpaper.

Open the image that just download from Nipic

Choose the text that wanted

Still remember that Quick Masking that we learned before the post? Hope you will remember it!

Quick Mask (Q) and Select Brush Tool (B) to select the region you want

After done with selecting, Press Q to End the Quick Mask Mode

and Select Inverse (Ctrl+Shift+I)

Vector Mask

The Word will seem like this when u zoom in and Start using Brush Tool to retouching it to delete the Black Region

The Final Word after done edit

Adding Effects (Layer Style), so that is look shadow and glowing, same as the Word of Drum that we did previously.

Double Click the Layer to show Layer Style

and Set the first Effects: Drop Shadow

Outer Glow: To show some little Glowing around the Word

Color Overlay: To change to color to totally Black

The effects will look as above

Double Effects on it same as usual with Duplicate the Layer

Move into the Workspace on ''In Progress''

and Arrange/Resize (Free Transforms [Ctrl+T] ) it nicely

Make a new Folder (Chinese Word of Festival) and Drag the Layer 26 and Layer 26 copy into it and that it look neat and tidy

So, the FINAL adding Chinese Word of Festive into the Workspace

After done with the Chinese Word, where is the English Word? Don't worry, now we will go on!

On the English Word, I will use the Type Tool to present it into my wallpaper

Drum Festival Typo

Select Type Tool and use it in the Workspace, type a D word

Select the Font: Bauhaus 93, Size: 48pts

Why just a D word? This is because that I want to make it special and try to reflect it with Free Transforms

Free Transforms (Ctrl+T) the D Layer and move the right point to the left point, it will seem reflect

Next, same step with making typo with Type Tool and type ''RUM'' to complete a word of DRUM with the Font: Bauhaus 93, Size: 40pts

Layer Style is performed again in the DRUM word to show shadowy and Glowing

Double Click the Layer to show Layer Style

and Set the first Effects: Drop Shadow

Outer Glow: To show some little Glowing around the Word

Color Overlay: To change to color to totally Dark Red

(Why Dark Red? Make some Red that is same as the uniform of Drummer)

So, the reflected D will love as above after adding Layer Style

Next, Copy the Layer Style (fx) from D Layer to RUM Layer to show the same effects with Alt+Click with Dragging

So, the Effects will be the same on the Word of DRUM after copying Layer Style

Make more effects that same with the previous Chinese Word? No problem, It is the same, just do it the double Effects with Duplicate the Layer into 2.

Duplicate the Layer D and Layer RUM

So, can you see it the more darker shadow and more glowing behind the DRUM?

Make FOLDER, same as the previous purpose to make it organize, neat and tidy.

Make a Drum Folder for the 4 layers that we did just now

Next, is the Word of Festival with using Type Tool

Type Tool with typing Festival with the Font: Bauhaus 93, Size: 40pts

With the same Size of D of the starting word, so make the word of F into the Size of 48pts

With no doubt, sure we need to copy the Layer Style into FESTIVAL layer to show the same effects in word of Drum Festival

Copy the Layer Style (fx) from D Layer to FESTIVAL Layer to show the same effects with Alt+Click with Dragging

Duplicate the Layer FESTIVAL to show the same effects (Double effects)

Make a Festival Folder and Drag the 2 layers into it

So, the Layer and Image with seem to be like that for now

Next is the addition of Date of Drum Festival into the Wallpaper! How?

English: Type Tool

Chinese: Using Image from internet [Click Me 1] [Click Me 2] [Click Me 3]

After i made some research on it, the Drum Festival is in February and September!

ENGLISH DATE

So, select Type Tool with typing February | September

Font: Bauhaus 93, Size: 20.59pts

Make a Month FOLDER and Drag the layers into it

CHINESE DATE

Open the Image that had just downloaded from internet

What to do on the image? SO, the Magic Wand Tool is selected to use on image

Select Magic Wand Tool (Shortcut: W)

Make a click on the Black region, it will show dotted line

around the Word of 2 in Chinese

Secondly, select CUT on it with Ctrl+X or Copy on it with Ctrl+C

Turn on the Workspace of In Progress, and Paste into with Ctrl+V

Resize/Rotate the Image with Free Transforms and place it

Next image, with the same step:

Select Magic Wand Tool (W),

Make a click on the Gold region which is means Month in Chinese,

select CUT (Ctrl+X) or Copy (Ctrl+C)

Turn on the Workspace of In Progress again, and Paste into with Ctrl+V

Resize/Rotate the Image with Free Transforms and place it

Next image, with the same step again:

Select Magic Wand Tool (W),

Make a click on the Black region which is means 9 in Chinese,

select CUT (Ctrl+X) or Copy (Ctrl+C)

Turn on the Workspace of In Progress again, and apply Paste (Ctrl+V)

Resize/Rotate the Image with Free Transforms and place it

So, Duplicate the Layer 30 to show Month that means February and September

Oh, before I forget, there is Layer style that needed to apply to the Chinese Word of Date

Copy the Layer Style (fx) from Layer 26 (Chinese Word of Festival) to Layer 29, Layer 30, Layer 31 and Layer 30 copy to show the same effects with Alt+Click with Dragging
